Redirect State B&O Taxes from Olympia to Downtown Bellingham

Downtown Bellingham is one of 37 communities in the Washington State Main Street Program, which has been helping towns and cities revitalize the economy, appearance, and image of their downtown commercial districts throughout the state since 1984. Under the WA Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation, the program is managed by the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation.

HOW IT WORKS
As a business, when you pledge to donate to the Downtown Bellingham Partnership through the WA Main Street Tax Credit Program, you will receive 75% of your donation back as a WA State B&O tax credit. Donate $4,000? You'll get a $3,000 credit. And that full $4,000 is tax deductible, since the DBP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit*. This means you are able to redirect your tax dollars back into our community - helping us in our mission to support our downtown economy and help our local businesses recover from the pandemic.

NEW TO 2024 - BELLINGHAM COULD RAISE AN ADDITIONAL $100K!
With HB 2306 signed into law, the individual Main Street Community tax credit cap will increase to $250K beginning October 1st (Q4) of the calendar year, assuming the state annual cap of $5M has not been reached by that date.
