Low Sensory Sundays

  • Family Interactive Gallery (FIG) at the Whatcom Museum 250 Flora Street Bellingham, WA, 98225 United States (map)

Art is for everyone, so we're opening our doors earlier on select Sunday mornings for friends 12 and younger with sensory processing and autism spectrum needs. Dedicated hours and trained staff mean that children can explore the FIG at their own pace when it's extra quiet, extra attentive, and extra special.

During Low Sensory Sundays, expect wheelchair accessibility, a designated quiet room for relaxation, and a variety of supportive tools, including gloves, cue cards, sunglasses, timers, and sensory maps.

We know it can sometimes be hard to plan your day, so while we appreciate RSVPs, they are not required.

Low Sensory Sundays are entirely cost-free and proudly sponsored by Hoagland Pharmacy.
